Important Announcement

Local PTA Leaders,We need your help.  We would like to have a large turnout of parents, teachers, principals and other PTA supporters for our meeting next week with Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles. For PTA to be successful in Dallas ISD we need a good relationship with the district, starting with support from the superintendent.  To earn this support, we want to show the superintendent that many people in the Dallas ISD community are passionate about PTA in the district and in our schools.  We want him to see that we will be excellent partners as we pursue our shared goal of strong parent involvement in the education of students.

Our meeting with Mr. Miles will be in the Dallas ISD administration building’s main auditorium, which has more than 200 seats.  We want to fill the room.  Please ask your board members and other parents and supporters to attend this event.  Details are directions are below.

We are pleased to have added a third part to the event.  Trustee Mike Morath will speak with us about how the upcoming Texas legislative session could affect our schools – especially school funding – and what parents can do.

Thank you for your help and for taking the time to attend this important event.  I look forward to seeing you there.
