A few items that we’d like to draw everyone’s attention to for the start of school:
Transportation changes
Possible transportation change for our students using the bus service. From the DISD Transportation page, your student’s transportation may not be by DISD bus:

Please be aware that some transportation services may be provided by American Logistics Company, or ALC. ALC is a contracted service provider for Dallas County Schools and serves the students of Dallas ISD as well as many neighboring districts. These contracted transportation services may be used to transport smaller groups of students on routes that are not practical or economical to provide regular bus service for. Magnets, Vanguards, Academy, Deaf Education, Multiple Careers Program students and NCLB students may be transported by ALC.

K and Pre-K – First Week is Whole Day
In a note at the beginning of August, Principal Curry let us know:
Pre-K and Kinder students will attend school a full day beginning August 26, 2013. There will be no half-day attendance for either group of students.
