President's welcome

Welcome everyone to a new school year.

Harry Stone has had quite a transformation over the summer. It was nice to see how well the school looked after waiting all these years for the bond work to begin. As they finish up the work it will only get better.

Now that the building has been improved it is time to improve the school experience for our children. Parent involvement is one of the best ways to improve the school and learning experience for your child.

There are many ways that parents can be involved with the school, from helping in the classroom to being part of the PTA. We have opportunities for everyone's interests and time commitments. All you have to do is reach out to your teacher, Ms Curry or the PTA and we can match your availability to the needs of the school.

I am looking forward to being your PTA president for the 2011-2012 PTA school year.
