HSMA PTA is sponsoring a Spirit Shirt Design Contest. Students in grades 1-7 are eligible to participate. Designs should be school-centered. Elements could include: classroom activities, student interests (i.e. Art, Theatre Arts, music, etc.), the gardens (butterfly and/or vegetable), and/or school accomplishments (i.e. UIL, Pentathlon, Lone Star Challenge, Debate, etc.).
One spirit shirt design will be chosen from grades 1-4 and one from 5-7. Chosen designs will be announced Friday, June 5.
Rules: Designs must be drawn on plain, white copy paper. Designs cannot be colored. Submissions must have the artist’s name, grade, and teacher’s name written on the BACK of the design. Entries with student’s name on the front will not be considered.
Each classroom will vote for 1 or 2 designs to move on to the next selection process. Chosen designs will be submitted to a committee for review and final vote. Deadline for submissions and classroom voting is May 29.
