Make A Difference: Mexico Slideshow

Below is a link to the presentation Mr. Bennett gave at the PTA meeting on the trip planned by the PTA Travel Committee for our Spanish language middle school students. The trip will give students and parent volunteers an opportunity to experience the culture, see some wonderful sites, and contribute to some of the communities.

Celebrate national Public Schools Week with…Spring Break! Public Schools Week is March 12-16.

And while you are enjoying a vacation from school, send a letter of support for public school funding to your members of congress using the PTA Takes Action Network and use the National PTA’s social media toolkit to tweet the reasons you love public schools using #LovePublicSchools and #PublicSchoolsWeek.

Superintendent Hinojosa hosts Community Conversations

Dallas ISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa is hosting informal discussions with teachers and parents/community members in October and November, with more coming in other parts of the district through May. A good opportunity to ask questions and be heard.

– Brainstorming to improve our meetings next year

We will be electing officers for the 2015-16 school year, and we are looking for volunteers interested in serving! Please, please, we need your help to be successful! Even if you aren’t ready to take a board position, let us know if you’d be interested in helping by chairing one of the committees listed.
